Our vision
A society where every child and young person — regardless of where they are born or what their family earns — can access quality education and the opportunity to build a dignified life.
About Gurukul CPS Foundation
Gurukul CPS Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation working alongside children, young people and families in and around Pauni, Bhandara district, Maharashtra. We help students stay in school, reach scholarships and build the skills that open doors — and we work in the open, with our registrations and finances available for anyone to check.
Who We Are
Gurukul CPS Foundation began with a simple observation: talent is spread evenly across every village, but opportunity is not. Bright students in rural Bhandara were dropping out — not for lack of ability, but for lack of guidance, learning support and someone to help them navigate scholarships and admissions.
We started by mentoring a small group of students for competitive scholarship examinations. As families and schools asked for more, our work grew into structured academic support, digital-skills training, environment drives and community programmes — always designed with the people they serve, not for them.
Today we are a registered not-for-profit run by a volunteer board and a small core team, supported by individual donors, local institutions and corporate partners. Our commitment has not changed: practical, measurable help for the students and communities who have the least access to it.
After-school learning support, study material and mentoring so children stay in school and learn at grade level.
Awareness sessions, health check-up camps and nutrition support delivered with local health workers and schools.
Digital literacy and employability training that helps rural youth earn and build independent futures.
Tree-plantation drives, women and child development activities, and student talent programmes that strengthen the wider community.
Our programmes are concentrated in Pauni taluka and neighbouring areas of Bhandara district in eastern Maharashtra, working through government and aided schools, gram panchayats and community centres. We deepen our work in existing locations before expanding, so that support is sustained rather than one-off.
Programmes are planned with students, parents, teachers and local bodies, so they fit real needs and local context.
We track attendance, learning outcomes and placements, review results each cycle, and change what is not working.
We collaborate with schools, government schemes and other organisations rather than build parallel systems.
We invest in local volunteers, teacher capacity and simple processes so impact continues beyond any single grant.

Founder's Message
Why the foundation exists, in the founder's own words.

Founder & Chairperson
Signature and photograph to be added before launch.
I grew up in this region and watched capable classmates leave school early — not because they could not learn, but because no one around them knew how to reach a scholarship, complete an application or find the next opportunity. That gap has stayed with me.
Gurukul CPS Foundation began as a small group helping a handful of students prepare for scholarship examinations. It has grown into structured learning support, skilling and community programmes, but the idea has not changed: put practical help where it is missing, and stay long enough for it to matter.
We publish our registrations, our results and our finances because trust has to be earned. If our work has helped you, or you would like to be part of it, I would be glad to hear from you.
Vision & Mission
Our vision describes the future we are working towards. Our mission is what we do every day to get there, guided by a clear set of values.
A society where every child and young person — regardless of where they are born or what their family earns — can access quality education and the opportunity to build a dignified life.
To work with underserved communities in Maharashtra to strengthen education and academic support, connect students to scholarships and skilling, and advance women, child and community development — delivered transparently and measured by real outcomes.
We do what we say, account for every rupee, and hold ourselves to the standards we ask of others.
We treat every student and family with dignity, patience and respect.
We direct our effort to those with the least access — first-generation learners, girls and low-income families.
The people we serve help design, run and evaluate our programmes.
We build local capacity so change outlasts any single project or donor.
We publish our results, registrations and finances, and welcome scrutiny.
Every programme we run sits within one of these areas. They reflect where we believe a small, focused organisation can make the most measurable difference.
Our work contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities). We use these as a shared language for planning and reporting, not as a substitute for local measurement.
Our Objectives
The specific aims that guide every programme we plan and every rupee we spend.
Improve access to quality school education and academic support for children in underserved parts of Bhandara district.
Guide students through competitive scholarship examinations such as NMMS and Navodaya, and through the applications that follow.
Equip young people who are not continuing to higher education with digital and employability skills that lead to work.
Support women and child development through learning circles, awareness sessions and self-help group activity.
Promote environmental awareness and action, including plantation drives measured by one-year sapling survival.
Strengthen communities through student talent programmes, civic participation and local volunteering.
Operate transparently — publishing registrations, audited accounts and results, and measuring outcomes honestly.
These objectives are drawn from the foundation's governing document and reviewed by the board against results each year.
